Chidiya Tapu is the southernmost point of South Andaman and feels like a different world compared to the busier parts of Port Blair. The drive itself is beautiful, passing through dense forests and coastal views.
As its name suggests, Chidiya Tapu is known for birds. You can hear their calls as soon as you arrive. Early morning and just before sunset are the best times for birdwatching and photography.
Munda Pahad Beach offers a tranquil escape, with gentle waves and shady spots to sit and relax. If you’re up for a bit of a walk, the Munda Pahad trek starts near the beach and ends at a rocky cliff with sweeping views of the Bay of Bengal.
Families can explore the Chidiya Tapu Biological Park nearby, which focuses on conservation and has a collection of native flora and fauna.
