📝 Description

Tucked away in Baratang Island, the Limestone Caves are among the most fascinating natural attractions in Andaman. These caves are formed by sedimentary limestone that has taken beautiful shapes through the combined action of water, time, and erosion. Inside, you'll witness delicate stalactites hanging from the ceiling and stalagmites rising from the ground, often joining to form dramatic columns.

The journey to the caves is as thrilling as the destination itself. From the Baratang jetty, you embark on a motorboat ride through mangrove creeks, gliding through narrow, green corridors that feel straight out of a movie. After the boat ride, a short walk through dense tropical forest leads you to the caves.

Inside, the temperature drops, and the atmosphere turns mystical — with narrow passages, naturally shaped stone walls, and a silence that enhances the cave’s ancient character. The entire visit is eco-guided, preserving both the environment and safety. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable shoes and carry a flashlight, as the caves can be dimly lit in some areas.
