Ramnagar Beach is one of the hidden gems of North Andaman, located close to Kalipur Beach and about 20 km from Diglipur town. It’s less commercialized than other beaches in the Andaman Islands, making it a great spot for travelers seeking peace, nature, and marine biodiversity.
This beach is especially known for its role in the turtle nesting season (usually from December to March), when turtles come ashore to lay eggs. If you're lucky and visit at the right time, you might witness tiny hatchlings making their way to the sea — a magical sight for nature lovers.
The clear, shallow waters around Ramnagar also make it a decent spot for snorkeling, especially during calm weather. Although the coral life here isn’t as vibrant as Havelock, the tranquility, cleanliness, and serene setting more than make up for it.
You’ll find benches, eco-huts, and shaded areas, making it a great picnic spot. There are no restaurants or shops on the beach, so it's recommended to carry your own essentials.
