Sitapur Beach offers a slice of untouched coastal beauty on the southeastern edge of Neil Island. Also known as Sunrise Beach, it is one of the first places in the Andamans to catch the early rays of the sun. The beach features a wide sandy stretch lined with lush tropical vegetation and dramatic limestone formations, giving it a wild and picturesque character.
Unlike the calmer beaches like Bharatpur, the waves at Sitapur Beach are strong, and swimming is generally not advised, especially during high tide. However, the charm of this beach lies in its natural, rugged look and the mesmerizing play of colors during sunrise. Early morning visitors are rewarded with a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for yoga, meditation, or simply soaking in the views.
There are no water sports or tourist stalls here — making it perfect for quiet contemplation, photography, or nature walks. A few benches and shaded spots are available, and the lush green backdrop adds to the contrast of colors, especially at dawn.
